For Ballroom Gallery in Brussels Carla Arocha & Stéphane Schraenen created a new large room size installation titled Interstice. This room within a room is a wall-like hanging structures made of hundreds of white and mirrored Plexiglas elements, each element has a diagonal laser-cut pattern, when assembled an overall pattern emerges and a moiré is rendered visible. Subtle glimmers of reflexion coming through the diagonal openings, create a random experience within the rigidity of the physical pattern.
